Who we are

This website is operated by BetaFish Pty Ltd (ABN 21 688 363 840), trading as JakeMakes. We're based in Adelaide, South Australia and provide 3D printing and CAD design services.

When we say "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean BetaFish Pty Ltd. When we say "you" or "your", we mean anyone who uses this website or our services.

What information we collect

We collect personal information in a few ways:

• Contact form — when you submit an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), selected service type, your message, and any files you upload (3D models, drawings, images).
• Analytics — we use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time on site, device type, and approximate geographic location. This data is aggregated and cannot personally identify you. IP addresses are anonymised.
• Cookies and similar technologies — Google Analytics sets cookies on your device to distinguish users and sessions. These are first-party cookies set by our domain. You can disable cookies in your browser settings or opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your enquiries and provide quotes
• Fulfil orders and deliver your prints
• Communicate with you about your project (progress updates, design clarifications, shipping notifications)
• Improve our website and understand how people use it (via aggregated analytics)

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted services to operate this website:

• Vercel — hosts this website. Vercel processes web requests and may log IP addresses for security purposes. See Vercel's privacy policy.
• Resend — delivers contact form submissions to our email inbox, including any file attachments. See Resend's privacy policy.
• Google Analytics — collects anonymous usage data. See Google's privacy policy.

File uploads

Files you upload through the contact form (STL, OBJ, STEP, 3MF, PDF, and image files) are sent directly to our email via Resend. We do not store uploaded files on our servers beyond the time needed to process and deliver the email.

We keep files only for as long as needed to complete your project. Once a project is finished or an enquiry is closed, we delete your files within 90 days unless you ask us to keep them on file for future orders.

Data retention

We retain contact form submissions and correspondence for up to 2 years for customer service and record-keeping purposes. Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months (the default retention period). You can request deletion of your data at any time.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct any inaccurate information
• Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information
• Complaint — lodge a complaint with us or with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)

Children's privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
